Player Fundraising Coordinator
McMinnville Junior Baseball is a non-profit organization, player fundraising helps to directly support field maintenance, equipment, umpires as well as overall operating costs of the organization. This is our one and only fundraiser this year, MJBO asks coaches to take ownership in this fundraiser. The Home Run Derby helps to ensure the financial sustainability of our program, but should also be seen as a team building opportunity.
Join us for a fun afternoon of baseball and support McMinnville JBO.
When: April 19, 2020 1:30 pm
Where: Duniway South Field
The derby should take approximately 2 hours from start to finish. MJBO requests teams wear their uniforms.
There will be wonderful prizes, incentives for derby winners, highest earning player fundraisers and highest earning team fundraiser. Please bring your families to cheer on the players!
The specific areas where help is needed are the following (and again this is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours):
-- Set up/ take down/ clean up (tables, pop up tents, baseball tees and equipment)
-- Grilling hot dogs and serving
-- Assisting with the organization and flow of players moving through the hitting station. There will be 3 hitting tees (one for each level) we will need a strong voice in these positions to keep players organized, on task and safe from swing bats.
-- Assistance at the prize/award table.
McMinnville JBO requests all players participate in our fundraising event and commit to raising $100 to support the organization.
